Saving Selvedge | The Raw Denim Jeans & Japanese Fashion Documentary

Saving Selvedge is a raw selvedge denim jeans and Japanese men's fashion documentary, dedicated to the art of Japanese raw denim jeans and the craft of Japanese menswear as a whole. Alejandro Jomar, a menswear influencer and renowned men's fashion professional around the world, ventures into his first trip to Japan after spending half a year learning the language as best he could, and explores the vast men's fashion scene of Japan, exploring luxury clothing stores and factories alike from Tokyo, Yokohama, Dobuita, Kamakura, Osaka, and the ever-so famous Kojima Jeans Street, being the mecca of raw selvedge denim and clothing manufacturing in Japan. Alejandro Jomar credits raw denim as his inspiration for his interest in men's fashion, so this journey became extremely personal to him. Along the way, he meets a myriad of fashion experts and aficiandos, and makes many unexpected friends along the way. He even gets permission to shoot the Saving Selvedge documentary in stores like Hinoya Japan, Okura, Kapital, Big John Denim, Iron Heart Raw Denim, Studio D'Artisan Denim, Full Count Raw Denim Jeans Makers, Wonder Looper and even more!
