The confirmation or progression process for PhD students is a major milestone in the PhD journey, signifying the shift from PhD student to PhD candidate. This process varies across PhD programmes but there are similarities across some PhD programmes especially in the UK, and Australia.

In this video, myself and Olutope Akinnibosun discuss our experiences passing through this process, highlighting what the process involves and sharing general tips on how PhD students can prepare.
