Harry Potter Audiobooks Update: Archive Moving to Channel 2

Hello everyone. This is a quick update for anyone who does not usually read the Community posts.

First, about memberships. I want to be very clear. Please do not become a member right now. Memberships have always been only for early access to videos. They are completely optional, and I am not asking anyone to buy one. I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has chosen to support the channel, and I am sorry to those of you who felt pressured. I love Harry Potter as much as you do. Until this situation is fixed, I do not feel I can deliver on the perks I promised, so again, please do not sign up at this time.

Now for what happened. In the last week, two of our older videos received copyright strikes. If a channel gets three strikes, YouTube deletes it. To protect the channel, I set the back catalogue to private. Many of you suggested moving those videos to Members Only to reduce risk while I worked on a long-term solution. I did that, and I also opened a second channel where the older videos will be uploaded again. Some are already live.

Here is what this means going forward. New uploads will continue here as normal, and they will remain public. Nothing new will be locked. The older videos are moving to Channel Two as I work through the archive. There are about two hundred videos, so it will take some time. If you want access to the older uploads, please subscribe to Channel Two. The link is in the description and in the pinned comment.

I also want to say this clearly. This channel has always been about sharing free stories, which is exactly why Channel Two exists. If I had my way, no videos would ever be locked. Locking or limiting access has slowed the channel’s growth and viewership, which had been climbing because of all of you. You are the reason this channel grows, and I am so thankful.

If you want to help, please keep listening to the new books here, leave a like, and comment. Do the same on Channel Two. Once the full back catalogue is uploaded there, Channel Two will also start receiving new videos, including your requested titles that are already in the queue. On this channel, new videos will continue to come out on Mondays and Fridays.

I will repeat the membership note one more time. Please do not become a member right now. I am grateful for every single person who has supported the channel, but until everything is fixed, I do not feel I can deliver on the promises that come with membership.
