Electromagnetic Braking - Physics Principles

Electromagnetic braking basics - we cover the physics principles behind electromagnetic braking, including Lenz's Law and the Motor Effect. We go over the basic design, the direction of the magnetic field and currents and the resultant force which end up slowing the wheel.

Note that electromagnetic braking is not the same as regenerative braking (which recharges your battery when you brake) - leave a comment if you would like that covered!
