Every time you practice trotting you get better and better and eventually it becomes second nature. but it takes a while to get to that and a good way to really concentrate on your seat is to work on the lunge line and concentrate on your new balance. here's an example of a sitting trot riding lesson, to concentrate on getting a better and more secure seat. especially when a horse has a rather bouncy trot, practicing loosening your hips and following the horses motion helps.
