James Perry, the executive director of the Monterey County Historical Society, was the guest speaker for the annual meeting of the San Antonio Valley Historical Association. His topic was the Pat Hathaway Collection and the 52 people who attended the event at the Hacienda at Fort Hunter Liggett got to see a sampling from Mr. Hathaway's photographs and images. Mr. Perry has described the collection as the most important image collection of its kind on the West Coast. This presentation included about 50 photos of scenes from Parkfield to Spreckels. It also featured postcards from Pinnacles National Monument, Paraiso Springs, Arroyo Seco, Lucia and Hearst Castle. Most of the images were around 100 years old.
