hello everyone here is how to calculate your tax return!! it is so much fun and i hope tax season brings you great joy and no more sadness. 💋
Normal tax (the tax that normies like me and you pay) is calculated as:
Taxable income
at the applicable SARS tax rate -
less: Rebates (section 6 of the income tax act)
less: your employees tax
there are a frick ton of deductions and exemptions that i didn't speak about, but you can refer to me in the comments/ SARS website if you're unsure.
