On Sunday afternoon, September 19th a volcanic eruption began on Cumbre Vieja de La Palma, in the Las Manchas area, after thousands of earthquakes rumbled through the area.
I thought you might find this fascinating to see the moment when the first signs of volcanic activity began, from a simple fire to the first signs of steam and then the first lava.
The time-lapse then shows how quickly the eruption grew on La Palma over the space of just 2 days.
