Just two hours form Imphal, Situated by the Thoubal river in Kamjong district is picturesque Chadong village, that has a stunning made lake due to Mapithel dam built on the river
Where you can go boating, fishing or even stay in a beautiful homestay and explore the Tangkhul culture, you can also enjoy the 2 day Chadong Festival being organized here in December, where all the indigenous tribes of Manipur come together to showcase and celebrate their folk dance, songs and culture
I would highly recommend everyone to visit this hidden gem while travelling to Manipur
