Here’s a quick adult ballet stretching routine for you!
I decided to remake this video as I wasn’t entirely happy the first time I filmed it and the perfectionist in me wanted to redo it to make sure I provide only the best quality content for the adult ballet community. This routine includes stretching out our side splits as well as middle splits!
I only started working on my flexibility as an adult and just wanted to share with you a quick stretching sequence that you can incorporate into your routine.
Know that I don’t have the perfect ballet body or super flexible body for that matter, I am embracing who I am and learning to work with what I have!
Please make sure that your body is warmed up before you do this routine.
When we start ballet as an adult, our bodies are already formed from our experiences. As an adult ballet dancer myself, I understand what it is like to work with what you have in order to progress in ballet. This is why I’ve sought further education and am proudly Barre Body, Progressing Ballet Technique and Progressing Contemporary Technique certified. Unfortunately, adult ballet dancers don’t have the same opportunities as those who start as a child, so I’m here to change this and make ballet accessible for all!
