Contemporary Māori fibre artists Lissy and Rudi Cole bring together crochet, carving, colour and whakapapa to create vibrant works that celebrate connection, aroha and the stories passed through generations.

Lissy and Rudi are deeply and joyfully drawn to the power of whakapapa, wairua and collective storytelling and how these themes can be shaped through rhythm, intuition and the gentle strength of process-led making.

In this episode, the Coles reflect on collaboration, symbolism and the healing woven through their mahi. They talk with host Fleur Woods about colour as emotion, the grounding energy of slow making, and why trust, courage and rest are essential to their creative practice.
