University of Alabama Huntsville Breakdown | Princeton Offense | Pick and Roll Offense

Coaches and players, check out this Princeton Offense breakdown from the University of Alabama Huntsville. Coach John Shulman began his career at the high school level, before spending the next 24 years at the Division 1 level. This video focuses on Point and Shuffle, two different actions that can be ran out of the Princeton Offense. Both actions rely heavily on split action, pick and roll, dribble handoffs and backdoor cuts. This video also dives into the Chargers Pick and Roll Offense, including reads made by the ball handler, roll man, and shooters.

The Princeton Offense can be extremely difficult to defend when ran in space with pace. As players become more comfortable reading the defense and making the right play, this offense becomes very powerful. One misconception I'd like to clear up is that this offense is slow and doesn't let players play. I think it's just the opposite of that, giving players freedom to make reads based off how they are being defended.
