From homesickness, to culture shock, to learning French, to adapting to a new culture, expat depression and so much more, many aspects of life abroad make it challenging. Then people's judgments about our situation can be another blow when you're already dealing with anxiety or expat depression, so we keep things bottled up instead of seeking out solutions to improve our mental health.
