"Five Points" Creek / Albemarle, NC

I recently learned about a creek that runs through Albemarle that crossed through the area locals know as Five Points, in the downtown area. Based on notes that were shared, this creek had to be routed through a culvert in order to build the streets that we currently navigate. In 1912, the culvert was built and the creek, while housed in a new environment, maintained it's original course. The area this video explores enters behind the old garage area attached to what was most recently known as the Five Points Cleaners and exits behind the house across from the Napa Auto Store on South Fourth Street.
