Today I have been invited by Disney down to London for the Disney Store Rewins to the 90's Pin Trading Event.
Held in the London Oxford Street Disney Store and the first event of its kind! At the start we picked a pin from a goodie bag and I was gifted the 25th pin anniversary Hercules pin which was perfect as this matched my sweater!
Event specific pins were limited to a quantity of:
400 of the main event pin across the London and Dublin events.
300 of each design of the character pins across the London and Dublin events.
200 of the London specific pins at the London event only.
150 of the Dublin specific pins at the Dublin event only.
The amazing pin designer Kenny Osinnowo was also in attendace to sign pins and intract with fans.
I started off by doing some pin trading with a lovely cast member, I traded Princess Anna from Frozen for a Pongo pin from 101 Dalmatians. If the pin on the board is a limited edition, the pin you trade must also be a limited edition.
I then traded a Chip pin for a Todd from Fox and the Hound, these were both open edition pins.
There was a Make-A-Wish Pin Drive where you could donate some pins so I took a couple extra to pop in their box.
then it was onto the special event pins. They were all amazing, they had:
Jumbo Disney Store event pin
Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Aladdin, Ariel from The Little Mermaid, Belle from Beauty & The Beast, Hercules, Simba from The Lion King, London Minnie, London Mickey, London Donald, London Mickey & Minnie and London Dalmatians.
I got a couple of the ones that caught my eye the most and the wonderful designer Kenny Osinnowo was kind enough to sign a couple of them for me and take a selfie. I asked him about his favourites to design and he also said one of his favourites is coming soon which I cannot wait to see!
I did a little bit more trading with another cast member and some trading with friends I met there before heading home.
Its such a lovely community and seeing the new in Disney merch pins was magical. So glad I get to add some of them to my Disney collection.
