The Kenya Wildlife Service has commenced the emergency recruitment exercise of rangers to bridge the yawning gap in its personnel to effectively fight the poaching menace. KWS Law Enforcement College Commandant Dickson Lesimir said the decision to recruit from the National Youth Service is premised on the need to reduce training period and have the personnel posted to hot spots affected by poaching within the shortest time possible.
