37508 & 37418 An Comunn Gaidhealach thrashing through Rowley Regis & then Water Orton 02/01/2026

So my first capture of 2026 sees me heading out for 37508 & 37418 An Comunn Gaidhealach with 0Z39 Kidderminster S.V.R. to Derby R.T.C.(Network Rail) where I headed for Rowley Regis Station.
I was hoping not to be bowled on my 1st capture and timings were fine for that but it got a little close for comfort with the unit moving out the way just in time, thank you to the conductor who let the unit go a few seconds early to be able to get the shot, absolute legend he was so I was able to get the shot with both 37508 and 37418 An Comunn Gaidhealach powering up and thrashing hard with a couple of tones to ho with it for us all waiting.
After that I headed over to Water Orton Station not knowing whether I'd make it before the 37's left being held at Park Lane Junction just before the station, all I knew was I needed to catch the WMR unit at 12.01 into Birmingham from Rowley Regis before changing over to Birmingham New Street for the 12.52 towards Leicester arriving at Water Orton Station for 13.04 to stand a chance of my second capture and thankfully the 37's were held to time enabling me to get that 2nd shot, from the Black Country to Warwickshire isn't usually a possible one but today timings and everything worked perfectly for me.
