Kenny Ackerman was a ruthless serial killer and the former leader of the Anti-Personnel squad. As a soldier, he rivaled Levi in strength and he served as a major antagonist during the Uprising Arc. His backstory provided deeper insight into both Levi’s past and Historia’s role in the Reiss family. In his death, Kenny left the story with two key things: a vial of Titan serum that shaped the events of the Battle of Shiganshina and a philosophy that “everyone is a slave to something.” This idea perfectly reflects the motivations of the series’ core characters. Erwin was consumed by his desire to uncover the truth, Eren was driven by his relentless pursuit of freedom, and Zeke dedicated his life to his euthanasia plan. Each of them was prisoner to their ambition, just as Kenny suggested. Personally, Kenny is my favorite character, which made me wonder: What if Kenny Ackerman survived?
