this 2005 chevy cobalt was limited to 43 miles per hour. we scanned the check engine light and it had a code for a faulty throttle position sensor. we searched for a new sensor. apparently you can't buy just the sensor you have to buy the whole throttle body for this vehicle. we purchased the new throttlebody installed it and cleared the codes. now it works perfectly. you can clear the codes with a cheaper scanner as well to keep it cheap.
