Om Singh Rathore was born in Chotila to Jog Singh Rathore, the Thakur of the village. On 5 May 1988, Om Banna (formerly known as Om Singh Rathore; banna is an honorary word used for Rajput youth)was travelling from the town of Bangdi near Sanderao of Pali, to Chotila, when he lost control of his motorcycle and hit a tree.

He died on spot whereas the motorcycle fell into a nearby ditch. The next morning after the accident, local police took the motorcycle to a nearby police station. The next day it was reported to have mysteriously disappeared from the station and was found back at the site of the incident.

Police, once again, took the motorcycle, this time emptying its fuel tank and putting it under lock and key. Despite their efforts, the next morning it again disappeared and was found at the accident site. Legend says that the motorcycle kept returning to the same ditch. It thwarted every attempt by police to keep it at the local police station; the motorcycle always returned to the same spot before dawn.

This came to be seen as a miracle by local population, and they began to worship the "Bullet Bike." News of the miracle motorcycle spread to nearby villages, and later they built a temple to worship it. This temple is known as "Bullet Baba's Temple." It is believed that Om Banna's spirit helps the distressed travellers.

ओम सिंह राठौर ( जिन्हें श्री ओम बन्ना और बुलेट बाबा भी कहा जाता है  ) एक लोक देवता हैं, जिनका मंदिर और तीर्थस्थल ओम बन्ना धाम भारत के जोधपुर के पास पाली जिले में स्थित है , जो उन्हें और उनकी मोटरसाइकिल को समर्पित है। यह पाली से 20 किलोमीटर (12 मील) और जोधपुर से 53 किलोमीटर (33 मील) दूर पाली-जोधपुर राजमार्ग पर चोटिला गाँव के पास स्थित है । मोटरसाइकिल एक 350cc रॉयल एनफील्ड बुलेट RNJ 7773 है। 
पाली व रोहट के बीच बाण्डाई गांव के पास स्थित है ओम बन्ना देवल। एक एसा स्थान जहां एक बाइक (बुलेट) की पूजा होती है। यहां बने ओम बन्ना देवल पर पाली-जोधपुर मार्ग पर जाने वाला कोई वाहन चालक मत्था टेकना नहीं भूलता है। आज यह स्थान आेम बन्ना देवल के साथ बुलेट वाले बन्ना के नाम भी जाना जाता है।

सड़क हादसे में हुआ था ओम बन्ना का देवलोकगमन
चोटिला गांव के रहने वाले ओम बन्ना का देवलोकगमन 1988 में देवल वाले स्थल पर ही उगे एक पेड़ से बाइक टकराने के कारण हुआ था। उनके पुत्र महान पराक्रमसिंह का कहना है कि उनके पिता जीवन काल में समाजसेवा के लिए समर्पित थे। हमेशा लोगों की सहायता करते थे। उनके देवलोगमन के बाद उनकी बाइक पुलिस थाने में अपने आप स्टार्ट हो गई थी। उन्होंने निधन के दो-तीन बाद ही अपनी मां को सपने में आकर देवलोकगमन स्थल पर देवल बनाने को कहा। इसके बाद यहां देवल की स्थापना की गई। जो आज लोगों की आस्था का केन्द्र बन गया है।
