It is with great excitement that we invite you all to participate in this online interview entitled "Complexity: Making Sense and Making Waves - An interview with Jean Boulton" which will take place on Thursday, Jan 16th at 5 pm UK time. This interview will be a great opportunity to hear an excellent introduction to complexity science and the applications/learnings the author Jean Boulton has acquired over the years when dealing with complex situations.
Who is Jean Boulton:
Jean is a theoretical physicist by background who studied at Oxford University and the University of Cambridge in the field of quantum physics. She then moved to further academic study, engineering, strategy and organisational consultancy, and hands-on management.
She has been deeply involved in the science and philosophy of complexity since the mid-1990s and, since then, she has been teaching worldwide in a wide range of institutions offering postgraduate programs in international development, systemic change, engineering, holistic science, management, sustainability and community engagement.
She is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics and a visiting academic with the Department of Social and Policy Sciences at the University of Bath and with Cranfield School of Management, and she also spent a few months as a research fellow of Stellenbosch Institute for Advanced Study.
She is the lead author of Embracing Complexity (2015: Oxford University Press), and author of a number of book chapters and articles. Her most recent and most ambitious book, The Dao of Complexity, is now available.
