Back in the saddle after 18 months! Strap in with Chris White in the #18 Datsun 1200 as we drive my mobile fan forced oven in 42C ambient temps with hot winds at SMP GP in race 3 of my first IPRA round.
I'm still learning the car, and TBH, these conditions are not ideal for that purpose. The turbo found it tough and I ended up turning the boost down for the final laps to conserve the car... until Macka caught me on the final lap :)
Thanks again to my family, who are the best support I could hope for and were there cheering me all the way. Thanks also to my dad, Gary White, who helps me set up the car and builds some kickass race engines - he was wrenching on the car with me at 6am to make sure I made the track today :) Thanks also to IPRANSW - an awesome and welcoming club - and in particular to Joe Lenthall, Mik Hazelton, Jeff Hanson and Craig Wildridge for all the encouragement this weekend.
