Special simulcast between BBC1 & Radio 1 live on Noel Edmond's Multi Coloured Swap Shop/ Follow Keith Chegwin who shows us around behind the scenes at BBC radio 1 broadcasting house and chats to DJ's Tony Blackburn, Peter Powell and brand new DJ Steve Wright who had been with Radio 1 just a few weeks.
Then witness a brand new concept with Cliff Richard's 'Carrie' being played simultaneously on Radio 1 and BBC1. Groundbreaking at the time that today's generation probably wouldn't understand what the fuss is about but if you were there and witnessed it as a brand new exciting development in broadcasting.
