RPG Ideas & Design 5: Mysticism's Presence & The Limits of Knowledge

Hi everybody, this episode got a little bit away from me in the process of recording it but I think it's still an interesting discussion even if there are some pretty ramble-heavy moments. The original topic I wanted to discuss was the inclusion of mysticism or belief in RPG worlds where that might be seen as a less important element of the functioning of the world, but somehow I ended up talking about Kant's Critique of Judgement and experiencing beauty as the basis of rational existence. Oh well, hopefully you enjoy the rambles. The next episode of Ideas & Design will be much more practical and useful at the table.

For many years my dad has been involved with supporting the National MS Society through a major bike ride that he does most every year (and has done for the past 20 years or so), the MS 150. The MS 150 is a bike ride from Houston TX to Austin TX over the course of a weekend, and riders are encouraged to ask for donations to the National MS Society from friends and family as part of the ride. Anyway I feel like it's the least I can do to at least point you in the direction of the National MS Society's donation page, in case you are interested in sending a few dollars their way. Donations are absolutely not required under any circumstances, but it's a good cause that can do some real good for people suffering from a serious medical condition, so I hope you will consider donating to them if you've got some extra cash burning a hole in your wallet.
