3TC Gear Drive Install [Part 1]

Hey everybody! In todays video I start installing the gear drive kit in the car. The purpose of the gear drive/gear train kit is to remove as much play as possible in the timing components for steady timing throught the entire rev range of the motor from 0rpm to redline. It also offers more stable actuation of the valves and pushrods (in TC engines). The gears too ruduce the contact patch compared to the traditional chain it replaces resulting in less friction and lighter parts overall. Not to mention they sound mental. The installation process will be pretty much the same between all the popular t-series engine mainly the 2TC 2TG 3TC and 3TG. Disassembly will be different but not completely alien. Gear driven rolla’s are definitely on the rarer side being not much information is shared on the install itself, but hopefully we can mitigate that with these next series of videos. Cheers!
