A 100-year conflict has been ongoing between two factions of humanity; sapients – the highly technological ruling class, completely westernized in culture, – and deviants: pidgin speaking oppressed class still loyal to their indigenous cultures, offering them supernatural abilities.

The Shikari Unit of the United Nations of Nigeria Armed Forces, who are tasked with hunting down dangerous deviants, have received intelligence that the deviants are in possession of Esu’s Horn; a weapon capable of killing all sapients once released.

Major Hamzat is tasked with interviewing the only deviant who knows its location. He and the other Shikari find out too late that the weapon is none other than the interrogated deviant.
