This video, brought to you by Gram Dekhi, highlights the dangers of consuming delicious yet potentially harmful street foods like achar, fuchka, muri makha, and chop-patties, especially when served on paper printed with toxic inks that can transfer to the food and directly into children's stomachs.
During our visit, we observed vendors at Granada School using such printed paper. We approached them with a simple yet impactful request: to serve food on clean plates or banana leaves instead. To our delight, the vendors readily agreed!
But the story doesn't end there. We are thrilled to introduce Mousy, a courageous 7th-grade student from Granada School, who has taken on the vital responsibility of monitoring the hygienic supply of food at the school gate. Mousy's initiative is a shining example of how local action can bring about significant change.
Imagine if every school in Bangladesh adopted a similar monitoring system! It could ensure safe and hygienic food for all students, protecting them from health risks associated with contaminated street food. This video is a powerful call to action for parents, teachers, school authorities, and policymakers to prioritize student health and food safety in Bangladesh.
Watch now to learn about this inspiring initiative and consider how we can replicate Mousy's model nationwide. This is not just about changing a habit; it's about safeguarding the future of our children.
