2000 - 2007 GM Ecotec 2.2L Engine Oil & Filter Change (Chevrolet Oldsmobile Pontiac Saturn)

This oil service video is about basic maintenance for GM vehicles equipped with the RPO L61 engine, the 2.2L Ecotec I4. The video illustrates the procedure using a 2004 Chevy Cavalier, but the Pontiac Sunfire and all of the Ecotec 2.2L applications would be similar. During oil service you drain the 5W30 motor oil, remove the oil filter housing, replace the oil filter, inspect the oil filter housing o-ring, replace the o-ring if worn or damaged, and then reinstall the housing with the o-ring seal. Finally you replace the 5W30 motor oil.
