big Vlog from Shanghai

In this vlog, I left Korea and flew to Shanghai, China. I spent 5 days there first alone, and then with my friends. I talked about the struggles with VPNs and Chinese apps.

Explored some of the most popular and touristic spots like 1000 Trees, City God Temple, Yu Garden, Old Town, Tianzifang, Nanjing Road, the Bund, North Bund, Christmas markets, Xuhui Library, Haus Nowhere, and more.

We ate a lot of Chinese food - dumplings, bao, noodles, soups, Tanghulu, iced teas, and plenty of weird snacks. I also tried cucumber chips (which I loved) and took advantage of super-cheap food delivery. And yes… I realized that matcha is not really an option here.

There were also slow moments - resting, watching anime, and just enjoying the time together. At the end of the vlog, I shared my honest impressions of China and Shanghai.

Then I flew back home to Latvia, feeling happy to eat home-cooked food again, enjoy Latvian products, and finally reunite with my family and dog.
