Here we have a 50-50 Split Mack Low Entry Heil Rapid Rail, I honestly had no idea that the City of Santa Cruz owned these things, which in my opinion is pretty cool especially because you usually don’t see a combination like this down in the north bay. They were also running this truck on only recycling so I’m guessing this truck does the recycling part, and another does greens and garbage.
I found this truck as I was headed back to the place I was staying at in Santa Cruz, once I spotted it I wasn’t sure what it was but then I realized it was this thing. The driver looked as he had experience driving one of these rapid rails, and seemed to move through the route at a fast pace. Anyways I want to give a big thanks to the drive for letting me follow along during his recycling route.
