Omkareshwar is a prominent pilgrimage site located in the Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh. It houses one of the twelve Jyotirlingas (lingams of light) dedicated to Lord Shiva. The name "Omkareshwar" is derived from the Hindu symbol "Om" and "Ishwar" (meaning Lord), symbolizing the presence of Lord Shiva.

Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga:
The Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga is the main attraction of the town. It is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, believed to be self-manifested (Swayambhu) and extremely sacred to Lord Shiva devotees. The temple is situated on an island called Mandhata or Shivapuri in the Narmada River. The lingam is housed in the main shrine, and devotees flock here to offer prayers and seek blessings.

Mamleshwar Jyotirlinga (Amareshwar Temple):
Located on the opposite bank of the Narmada River, the Mamleshwar Jyotirlinga is another significant temple in Omkareshwar. It is believed to be the other half of the Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga and represents the female energy, while Omkareshwar symbolizes the male energy.

Gaumukh Ghat:
Gaumukh Ghat is a sacred bathing ghat situated on the banks of the Narmada River. It is believed that the river emerges from a cow's mouth (Gaumukh), signifying purity. Pilgrims take holy dips in the river here as it is considered auspicious and purifying.

Omkareshwar Parvat Parikrama:
The Omkareshwar Parvat Parikrama is a circumambulation (parikrama) around the Omkareshwar Hill ( Total Parikrama 7 Kms ) . It is considered a sacred pilgrimage route, and devotees undertake this journey to seek blessings and spiritual merit. The parikrama covers various temples and sacred spots around the hill, offering a profound spiritual experience.

Statue of Oneness (Adi Guru Shankaracharya):
The Statue of Oneness, also known as the Adi Guru Shankaracharya Statue, is a significant landmark in Omkareshwar. This towering statue of Adi Shankaracharya, the great Hindu philosopher and theologian, stands tall on the Omkareshwar Hill, overlooking the town and the Narmada River.
