Cognitive change is a normal process of aging. However, older adults who at risk of experiencing loneliness and isolation due to substantial life events, such as the loss of loved ones, retirement, loss of roles and loss of physical abilities accelerated the process. With reduced opportunities to stay connected with the society, the older adults who failed to readjust their life would suffer from increased psychological repercussions. Social isolation may increase an older adult’s risk of depression, anxiety, suicide and create an impact on their cognitive functions. Therefore, this webinar simulated discussions on research works related to cognitive health among older adults and the advances of nursing management by healthcare academics to promote cognitive health.
