[YWAM] God’s Heart + Voice of the Holy Spirit @ Hawaii DTS Journal #12/40

[Colossians 2:8] "See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ."

The standard of all good and evil lies in God's Word. When we rely on our own judgment of good and evil, confusion and struggles often arise. [Romans 12:2] "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing, and perfect will." God desires a relationship with us where we freely seek His will, not one where He simply dictates everything to us.

May you live in the freedom found through the Holy Spirit, continually expressing gratitude for His grace and love. Reflect on God's heart for you and allow His love to guide your path. Even after completing DTS, you can continue to walk in His grace by meditating on His Word and aligning your interests with the things that matter to God.

As you read Scripture, take note of what God cares about and see if there are things that stir your own heart. A fresh perspective on the Bible can reveal new insights and answers. While we may not all shine as brightly as stars in the heavens, we can be like lighthouses, guiding and illuminating the way for others. Jesus rebuked the disciples for their unbelief when they did not trust the testimony of those who had seen Him risen ([Mark 16:14]). Today, we can choose to trust the testimony of witnesses and the truth of God's Word.

Remember, every soul is precious to God. The stories of Moses, David, Gideon, Esther, and Paul remind us that God uses seemingly insignificant people to accomplish His mighty purposes. Even if you feel inadequate, God can and will work through you in ways beyond your imagination. God knows you better than you know yourself and loves you more than you can comprehend. He deeply desires to establish His kingdom in and through your life. Surrender everything to Him and delight in living a life that brings glory to His name.
