We're racing time this winter, as we're continuing the build of our simple off-grid cabin by framing and raising the walls.
Snow fall and freezing temperatures slows down the work, but we need to have the cabin weather-tight before the forest starts thawing in spring.
This cabin will be used as a simple workshop where we can store the tools we need for the forestry and homesteading work on the property, and as a warm and dry place to stay until our main cabin is complete. We're using the trees of our forest to mill the lumber used for the build.
We're two rookies, trying to figure things out together one step at a time, with stubbornness, patience, and a lot of teamwork!
