The upgraded 2021 LDV T60 Max has been blessed with a tougher cosmetic makeover and a 160kW twin-turbo diesel engine as standard across the dual-cab 4x4 ute range.

That makes it Australia’s most powerful four-cylinder turbo-diesel ute, outgunning even the Ford Ranger Bi-Turbo and Toyota HiLux in terms of power output, though peak torque is the same at 500Nm.

The significant power hike joins more standard equipment and higher prices in a value-packed 2021 LDV T60 Max line-up, so should Aussie ute buyers pay attention? We sent Rod Chapman to find out.
