Today, I’m introducing you to The Hami Melon! Readily found at grocery stores, to include Costco and Trader Joe’s. ( Actually, found this monster at Trader Joe’s). I personally purchase these all the time in season and always have people in the store ask me about it. In the musk melon family, so its assumed it tastes like a cantaloupe. The Hami has it’s own distinctive flavor and texture. Light, sweet, and a crispy texture that’s best described as apple (esque).
I personally love all the fruit variety of summer to offer that… something different! It’s a great addition to a fruit salad or fruit plate, or just eaten on it’s own. Check it out and give your tastebuds a treat!
Hami Melons are low in calories and high in antioxidants which makes it a great choice!
