Praydog's UEVR Mod Could Change PC VR Gaming FOREVER

Praydog’s Universal UEVR Mod will bring VR support to hundreds of titles running on Epic’s Unreal Engine 4 and 5 when it releases later this year. If you’ve already used Praydog’s excellent mods for the Resident Evil games, then you know that having that sort of near-native VR functionality available with the massive library of UE4 and 5 games going to be HUGE!

There’s a lot of good information about Praydog’s UEVR mod available on Twitter and Reddit, but I hadn’t seen a lot of coverage about it here on YouTube so I wanted to make a video letting people know what to expect. I briefly touch on the history of flat-to-VR modding, and explain what Praydog’s UEVR mod is and why some developers are less than excited to see it released.


I’ve been playing modded flatscreen games in VR for almost a decade now with varying degrees of success, so I can’t wait to finally be able to dive into my backlog in VR without the hassle. Maybe I’ll even manage to finally load up some of my otherwise-decorative Steam icons for the first time!
