Welcome to the Five of Swords.
While this may be many people's least favorite card in the deck, few can deny the importance and value of growth in the midst of challenge.
Let's jump in.
The five's in tarot are about upheaval, change and conflict. They are challenging.
The suit of swords is about thought, reason, judgment and communication.
Add these two together and you get the Five of Swords. Some traditional meanings associated with the Five of Swords are strife, winning at all costs, conflicting ideas and defeat.
There are two different ways to read the picture in this card (and both are right!). It can either be seen as the scene of some sort of argument, confrontation or fight between three individuals. Or, it can represent three different stages of development for one individual.
Journal prompts shared in this video:
1 - If you were wronged or defeated by someone (currently, recently or sometime in your past) - what lessons did you take away that made you stronger?
2 - In adversity, integrity and grit are beautiful allies. How do they support you in times of difficulty? How can you lean on them a bit more?
Affirmation: My lessons move me ahead - ALWAYS.
