Hiking the Decalibron was not easy, but starting at 4:45am was no fun either. We started early to avoid any mountain weather situations. Was it worth it? Definitely!
The Decalibron is a loop trail with four 14ers, mountains with elevation of 14,000’ or over. The four 14ers are Mounts Democrat, Cameron, Lincoln and Bross. The summit of Bross is a private property and no public access is allowed. We skipped Mount Democrat due to weather concerns. The scenery along the trail was impressive and what a special experience shared among friends.
