Is Clay psychotic? We've already covered some interesting stuff on anxiety on the past few episodes but this one brings up some new things. As a psychiatry doctor, anxiety and paranoia are common features of a lot of mental illnesses I treat. Some people think the paranoia must mean psychosis, but NO! The question is whether this paranoia is of delusional intensity i.e. a fixed, false and unshakable belief that is held despite all evidence to the contrary. What is clear though, is that Clay is really struggling. He is not in a good place and the panic attacks show that.
