《青年日本の歌（昭和維新の歌）》, today is the 81st anniversary of the February 26 Incident (二・二六事件) in Japan, and I wanted to make something for it. Written by Taku Mikami (三上卓), a right-wing IJN officer and participant of the earlier May 15 Incident, this song symbolized Japan's descent into fascism and militarism the best. Sung by Kōdōha (皇道派) troops as they started the four-day-long and ultimately unsuccessful coup d'état in Tokyo on the snowy dawn of 26 February 1936, indeed a new era had arrived, an era that will end in the brilliant light of nuclear fission.
