2025 Sobey Art Award – Sandra Brewster

Meet Sandra Brewster, the Ontario artist and finalist for the 2025 Sobey Art Award. The child of Guyanese parents, Sandra is a Toronto-based Canadian artist. Her practice reflects a multilayered sense of identity, born of a collision between place and time. She completed a BFA at York University, and a Master of Visual Studies at the University of Toronto.
