Meredith Sue Willis is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at New York University’s School of Professional Studies. Her new book is a science fiction novel, Soledad in the Desert. Of her previous science fiction novel Carol Emshwiller, Nebula award winner, said, “Readers will love Espera….a rousing adventure story.”

Willis has published more than twenty books of literary and genre fiction as well as books for children and books about writing. She was an early writer-in-the-schools with Teachers & Writers Collaborative as well as a Distinguished Teaching Artist of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. She is a native of West Virginia, and a thirty year veteran of racial integration activism.
