As our series on Acts continues, Rev. Nat moves us onto the early stages of the church after its foundation. Calling out how what we do today is part of the lineage from what we can read in this amazing book. From last week when we looked at Judgement, this week Nat opened up for us passages around great success and also times of trial and troubles. As we think as a church what success looks like in comparison to how the world may measure things.
In the first part of our reading, we hear of great numbers joining the Church in a short timescale onto the Apostles being put in prison by those in power. As we think about our personal lives and as that of the church, what is our measure of success that we strive for?
