Royal Garden Blues - Count Baise & His All American Rhythm Section, Buck Clayton & Don Byas
"Royal Garden Blues" is a blues song composed by Clarence Williams and Spencer Williams in 1919. Popularized in jazz by the Original Dixieland Jazz Band, it has since been recorded by numerous artists (The Original Dixieland Jazz Band (led by cornetist Nick La Rocca), Bix Beiderbecke, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, ...) and has become a jazz standard. The song is considered one of the first popular songs based on a riff.
Royal Garden Blues was released on January 1, 1956 by Legacy Recordings as a part of the album Blues By Basie.
