Often John Farnham would provide his audience opportunities to join in to sing part of a song with him. When the audience were with him, the results could be spectacular. Often the audience missed their cue, missed their opportunity and John was left to fill an awkward silence or let it pass.
I've always felt this was the case with his performance of Burn For You in the 1990 Chain Reaction Tour.
So, although it's long been an annoyance for me, today I set aside some time to rectify that, by splitting the audio track to edit John's vocal performance, then reconstruct the audio track, aligning the new audio with the existing video, and lastly editing the video image to match the new audio track.
I hope you enjoy the final product as much as I do, and better still - perhaps when you've finished watching it, you might just wonder "What the hell is this guy talking about? It all looks and sounds fine to me.
