Exploring Architecture and Innovation in London | Study Away with Jefferson

Join students from Thomas Jefferson University as they explore the dynamic architecture and urban design of London. This immersive study-away experience gave students firsthand insight into the intersection of design, sustainability, and culture in one of the world’s most iconic cities.

From visiting landmarks like the Portcullis House designed by Hopkins Architects to touring the Channel Four News Station, students experienced the rich architectural history and modern innovation that define London. Visits to top global firms such as Foster + Partners and Zaha Hadid Architects offered a glimpse into the future of design and inspired students to think critically about their own roles as emerging architects.

Throughout the trip, students reflected on how London’s accessibility, integration of green spaces, and blend of old and new construction offer powerful lessons in sustainable urban planning.
