Each spring is mounted on a free rotating thrust bearing
During the test, watch as a single start compression spring rotates some and a double start compression spring rotates a little more due to a higher lead Flexure. Then watch as our machined spring does not rotate at all.
Why?
Opposing Flexures! Since our machined spring is manufactured from a single-piece of source material, designing a left and right handed coil into the same component allows us to cancel out the rotational force of more traditional compression springs.
