This (long) video shows the replacement and bleed of the thermostat from a 2008 Toyota Highlander. The vehicle was blowing cool air in the winter with the heater control set to full hot position.
This condition can cause excessive fuel consumption due to the requirement of the computer to maintain its internal temperature. Please be cautious when performing maintenance in your vehicle and always install safety equipment like jack stands when going under the vehicle.
