In December 2024, the village of Grandmenil near Manhay, Belgium, became the epicentre of remembrance as thousands gathered to mark the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge. The event Ardennes History Remember 44/45 featured immersive re‑enactments, authentic WWII vehicles in snow and mud, solemn ceremonies, live music, field hospitals, military camps, and pyrotechnic displays.
What You’ll See & Experience
Historic vehicle convoys powering through deep mud and snow: M4 Sherman “Fury,” M24 Chaffee light tanks, M10 tank destroyers, half‑tracks, jeeps, trucks and armoured cars
Living history camps: US and Ger- man re-enactors (infantry, engineers), field hospitals, radio stations, supply lines.
